How Energy Saving Costs Businesses & Governments Nothing: Save The World For Free!

Energy saving is the most important weapon in the fight against climate change.
Why?
Because it pays for itself! There is no excuse for businesses to not invest in energy saving projects such as energy efficient lighting, because energy saving has short return on investment periods and massive long-term, sustainable cost-cutting power.
There is no excuse for governments to not support businesses to save energy, since money invested can be recouped directly via interest-free loans and pay-as-you-save schemes such as the Carbon Trust’s Big Business Refit. By doing so, governments can help make business more competitive, make big cuts in national carbon emissions and stimulate new green jobs in the energy efficiency sector.
Why not ask your local politicians what they are personally doing to help bring interest-free or low-interest loans for energy efficiency to local companies, or how they are supporting local energy saving companies find more customers. Why not ask your boss why the company still uses an inefficient boiler or wasteful old light fittings when the business can save money and energy… and have it all paid for by the government!
Or if you’re the business owner ask yourself why, through inaction, your business is haemorrhaging cash on old equipment, and whether you want to come out the other side of the recession a leaner, meaner company with a competitive advantage over the opposition.
Energy saving is the biggest no-brainer in business and government today. Others are acting now. So should you.
