Most companies pay attention to the UK’s Budget to see how the government’s new plans for taxation and spending will effect their business. This year, however, the Budget included the world’s first national carbon budget, adding another variable which businesses will have to factor into their outlooks.
The Budget’s environmental section is buried deep into the report, and much of the facts and figures involved are designed for soundbites relevant to households rather than businesses. From the businessman’s perspective, though, here are the main points:
